Beef korma (mild kid-friendly curry)


1kg beef diced
1tbsp butter
2 onions diced
4 cloves garlic
4cm ginger peeled and grated
1t cumin
1t coriander
1t turmeric
1/2t cinnamon
1/4t ground cloves
1/4t ground cardamom
Pinch cayenne to taste
150g Greek yoghurt
1 cup broth
1/2 to 1tbsp cornflour to thicken with a splash of water

Fry off onion in the butter, add in garlic and ginger and spices, till aromatic. Add in beef, yogurt and broth. Cook on low low heat for a few hours covered (or slow cooker). Allow to reduce for half an hour or so with the lid off towards the end of cooking. Thicken at the end with cornflour.
